wanting is an adjective.  不是动词want 的现在分词, 动词want 就根本没有现在分词形式. 类似的词还有: believe, know, imagine, (dis)like, love, prefer, remember, understand, wish, hear, smell, sound, taste, agree, deny, astonish, impress, mean, please, promise, satisfy, seem, surprise, belong, concern, consist, contain, depend, deserve, fit, include, involve, lack, matter, need, owe, own, possess... 

Does anyone read anything as "i'm wanting/wishing....."??   this sentence as "i'm wanting..." is wrong, wrong, wrong!

"wanting/adj" means 欠缺的, 不足的.

wanting/adj: something that is wanting lacks or misses something that it needs or something that you expect it to have

我看xizzhu 的解释一直看不懂是因为我一直以为是现在分词xizzhu说作形容词，刚才突然开窍了，原来这就是一个单词，本身是形容词呢？

对于wanted我只能鄙视我自己了，怎么动词都认为是过去分词呢，those who wanted里面的wanted不是分词，而是who引导的定语从句的谓语，一般过去时。表示动作已经完成。
