准备申请schulish business school in canada.. dealine是Oct 1st.

There are many companies in the US providing essay editing services, such as accepted.com. The ways they work are different. Prices are different as well. However, I don't suggest my friends to use such kind of services if you want to write exceptional essays. They have so many clients that they just cannot focus on you. Plus you are the person who knows youself best.

They can help you write the average essays though.

Some companies will talk to you for a couple hours before starting the whole process. For each essay, the consultant will talk to you for about one hour, and decide which example to use. Then they will give you an outline. You write the first draft. They refine it for you.

So my suggestion is :

1) use google to find out some general guidelines for MBA application essay writing, such as "mba essay edit". Get some basic ideas and big pictures.
2) discuss with friends in CD
3) decide whether you need the editing services or not

tsljz
thank you for you detailed and perfect answer...
but I would like to ask one more question:

how do you think chance of being admited by business school if  writing essay myself and just ask somebody to smooth my sentence and correct grammer errors?
I don't know whether most people got offers, generally, at least have their essays edited by professional agent or experienced MBA?? If so, maybe I should have to pay for editting service to guarantee my success. Since though, as you said, I am the person who know myself best, I am not the person who know English and Essay best.

Let me try to add my $.02. When we interview our CBSF member, someone told me that he knew his essay has some grammar issue, but he thought schools would understand that English is our second language. Later on he got interview invitation from Stanford. Second, you should also think of your AWA essay. If you AWA score is not good, but your essay seems shining, adcom might take a look at what your wrote in your AWA essay.

albert brother, I don't think it is a must to have some professional essay editors to help you write your essay. If you have read the interview scripts posted in this forum, you will see that many successful applicants did not do that.

However, suggestions from other people can be helpful. In my opinion, two types of people may provide necessary help for you. First, the people who know you well. They can provide you some insights into yourself. Second, the people with good English writing skills.

Regarding your chance to be admitted, it really depends on your background and how you present youself.
