急问！急！在美国的学校中，事先交钱再发1-20表，是不是一种通行做法？－Zeros修改标题，见谅

学校今天来信告诉我，我没有得到奖学金，要求我transfer 25000$到学校，才发i-20表给我，而且给我规定在5月27号以前，否则，就要被deffer到2006年入学。我问了他3个问题，同时也希望cders回答我：

1，没有1-20表和签证，要搞到这么多美元是很困难的，怎么安全的搞定这个问题。

2、如果我得不到签证怎么办，学校会退钱给我吗？而且，钱到了别人手上，就要任人宰割。

3、现在商业欺诈这么多，我能确保不被骗吗？学校肯定不会骗我，但是谁知道有没有人利用职权转骗国际学生？在美国的学校中，事先交钱再发1-20表，是不是一种通行做法？

？个人没有见过这样的。 一般仅仅是要存款证明而已。

请见识过的朋友们说说。

I am sorry to tell you that you have not been awarded an assistantship.  At this time, for your file to be further considered for admission for fall 2005, you will need to place $24,787 on deposit by wire transfer with BSU before you can be issued an I-20 and final admission packet.  You would be required to bring $3,000 in traveler’s checks with you to BSU for initial expenses.  lease let me know if you will be wire transferring the funds to BSU and I will give you the wiring instructions.

Due to the late date I would need your deposit to reach the bank no later than May 27, 2005 for an I-20 to be sent for fall 2005 or you would be deferred to spring 2006 admission.

没听说过这种事，许多学生连一两千的deposit都没交，学校就给发了I20。

这应该是该商学院的特例，不具备普遍意见。

建议楼主据理力争。

这个学校很特殊, 从没听说过要给钱才给I20, 大部分学校只要求FINANCIAL CERTIFICATE就给I20.

楼主还是和学校商量一下好.
