对矛盾的OG109,OG181require of 用法的分析,大家帮忙看看对不对

搂主的做法在下敬仰得紧，我也看og解释，看了不知多少遍了。却没能做出这样的分析，惭愧。

我对这两个体的见解很肤浅，但自以为很实用：A require of B that C（subjunctive mood）; C is required of B to A。就是当原则在记忆，各位NN给点意见。

my 2 cents of OG 181:

a) require of sb sth
to survive in the electronics industry requires of firms enormous research and development expenditures 
b) 被动结构 be required of( by) sb to do sth
enormous research and development expenditures are required of(by) firms to urvive in the electronics industry 

I think a and b are all fine.
