前些天收到的rochester finance phd 的offer。本来貌似在waiting list上。听人说这个Program特别特别tough. 想找师兄师姐问问情况^^

有其他了解情况的达人也冒个泡吧！！感激涕零！！！！！！！T_T

我还有一个UIUC的finance Duke的ECON（没有fellowship）这三个里面我会选择Rochester吧～～

但是我蛮怕的听说Rochester特别HARSH

Actaully Duke Econ may not be bad... They always have some students do Finance.

If you can get out of Rochester, surely it's better than UIUC. But I heard they
kick out students even before they go on the market...

My professor told me 50% students drop out in PhD finance at Rochester. She got her PhD from Rochester.

I don' think there are many "she" who graduated from Rochester...
depend on the ambitions, attrition rates could be trivial or vital for different people.

Hope u could choose Duke or UIUC, since u don't want to worried about ur destiny for 5 years, simons even kick out people on 4th years

UIUC's location is a big concern... faculties are pretty good.
I know one guy from duke econ got flyout in chicago GSB, but his advisor is a big NIU from Fuqua.
