Why do some famous athletes and entertainers earn millions of dollars every year? Do they really deserve that? Different people will render different opinions. As far as I am concerned, I agree that they deserve such high salary, my reasons are as following.

In the first place, famous athletes and entertainers provide people certain will as well as amusement. Nowadays, fierce as competition is, people bear much pressure in their daily life. Therefore, people need to be encouraged and get relaxation by watching sports games or movies, etc. Take Yaoming as an example, when he encountered big difficulties in his career life, most people thought he would better give up his ambition. However, he has made more efforts instead of giving up, and later he has got great progress. His strong will, therefore, has encouraged a lot of people in their lives.

Secondly, famous athletes and entertainers sustain more pressure than us. In most people's eyes, they are living an easy life but earning a lot of money, but this opinion is biased. In the TV or other media, what we see is only one aspect of them. The efforts behind the screen are so tough that no normal person can be one of them.

Admittedly, what they earn seems to be too high, but the relaxation and good will they bring to us far outweigh that money. So, from what I have discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that the famous athletes and entertainers do deserve such high salaries.
