如题，GMATAWA3.5 。托福再败了，我就基本GG了。。。

题目：　在你们社区建高中，同意与否

My sister complained to me about the time she spends on her way to school just a few days ago. In order to acquire the better education, she goes to the best high school in our city, which locates in the suburb, 20 kilometers away from our community. The long distance costs her 1 hour to get to school.

Recently, the issue of whether to build a high school has been brought to public attention in our community. Devoted opponents of this plan are those who hold the opinion that it will worsen the traffic condition as well as require more resources. There are also many people, including me, voting for the plan, sustaining that the establishment of a high school will considerably stimulate the economy and improve the education quality in our community.

To be point out at the beginning is the decisive factor that what education to a society is what water to fish. In other words, so significant the role that a high school plays in the education that it is the foundation of our community’s future development. The better the education, the greater the number of well-educated students, and thus the faster our society develops. A resent study conducted by the national education journal demonstrates that with 1 percent increase in population of literate citizens in a community there will be a 3-percent increase in the gross production there.

Building a high school in our community is not a monolith of a certain advantage but a rich mixture leading itself to reveal other merits. Together with the foundation of the high school is the economic effect it brings about. For example, it will definitely lead to an increase in employment rate and a greater consumption by the students, all of which will remarkably increase the tax revenue of the government, and thus the revenue, in turn, could be used in the infrastructure construction. Let’s cite a case in the neighbor community. It is due to the establishment of the primary school built 2 years ago that the people’s standard of living there has been improved significantly. The case is not rare, it is only one of the many examples I have heard.

Superior as it is, a high school also brings its own problem. Some people argue that to build a high school will result in even severely crowded traffic in the rush hours because more students are required to arrive at school in the morning. They also points out that larger population means undoubtedly greater demand for resources.

Undeniable as the disadvantages that the establishment of a high school bears are, they can not compete the benefits that the it brings about. So we can safely reach the conclusion that the plan to build a high school in our community is sagacious one. And at the same time, we should also make some efforts to eliminate the problems that the new school will produce.
