Use specific reasons and examples to support your position 希望各位高手不要手下留情,猛拍!! Faced with an expending number of parents pay more attention to the score on the test paper, the parents believe that only the score can tell the level of the student. They claim that the score is related to the students achievements, which is the best proof of one’s effort, but people who favor the effort is more important than achievement argue that process is vital to the result. As I perceive the argument, hard working is more important.
To begin with, it would be unfair if we judge students by their marks in examination because a good grade may be based on talent. It is much easier for students who have talent to get higher marks than students who does not. For instance, I had a classmate who named Lee. He is viewed as a genius. He always reading novels or drawing ironic pictures about teacher on class, and he almost never hand in any homework. Every day, he spent most of his time in playing basketball and computer games. However, it is surprised that he always get the first place in the ranking list just relied on several days' study before the final examination. Those people who involved in much energy can hardly catch up with him. Thus, if the teacher reward students by achievement and give him the scholarship or praise, it would surely discourage other students who are hard-working. On the other hand, every people can work hard even they are not talented. Rewarding students by effort would be fair and would not cause that discouragement. Furthermore, the concept of working hard is important for students to pursue a better future, and it is the teacher's responsibility to help students to build up this thought. I also want to mention the regulation of rewarding created by my middle school teacher, Miss Zhou, for example. She built a system in class which regulated that the students who get forward in the rank position of the class's name list between two exams would receive a reward. The result was a surprise. Those students who never experience success began to have the chance to get reward. Because their position in the ranking is low, it actually makes them much easier to get the reward. Thus, every student in the class began to work hard to compete for the reward, instead of only good students. Students began to understand that everyone could take effort to gain success without considering about the talent. This concept would benefit students a lot in the future life and Miss Zhou did reached her goal.- O2 k8 x9 `" z0 W3 U' F $ v" D0 ], z* h To sum up, taking the two aspects into consideration, I agree that it is important to reward students for effort than for achievement.
