The most important aspect of a job is the money a person earns. Nowadays, companies always consider high salary as a lure to chase the best would-be employees he need. So a hot topic about what is the most important aspect of a job is open to argue. Some people hold that the most important thing of a job is money, so it's money that determine a person's choice of job. While others refute that money isn't the most important aspect of a job, there are still other factors that affect a person's choice of job. In my opinion, although money may be the most influencial factor when a person makes his choice which job to take, it doesn't necessarily apply to everyone. Sometimes it is other factors that determine the people's decisions due to their different targets or the phase of the career life they are in. First of all, I have to admit that a large amount of people are more concerned about money. We now live in a commercial society in which money is seen as the medium of exchange and symbol of wealth. Without money can we hardly subsist. We need money not only to buy food, clothing and all of the commodities needed to live, but also to buy cars, houses and other luxurious goods to lead a more comfortable and rich life. So it's not hard to imagine when a company offer a contrast with a higher salary, most of people will accept without hesitation. Whereas money isn't everything, there are other factors some people tend to take into consideration according to their target of life and the phase of their career life. At the first place, if a person's target of life is to win himself/herself a remarketable fame or to contribute more to the society, money won't be the matter when they choose what job he/she will take. For example, a person who gratuated from a famous medical school has a desire to help the African people who live in dark and chaotic countries and to cure their undesirable disease, the job he/she chooses might be a volunteer doctor in Africa regardless how low the pay will be. So the willingness and target of a person sometimes play a vital role in deciding job. At the second place, according to a recent survey, when a person is in the early phase of his/her career, he/she tend to care about the experience he/she can accumulate through the work, while when he/she has found a suitable job and has to raise a family, he/she is inclined to earn more money. So the decision about job is sometimes affected by the phase of the career life. All in all, money is important for most of the time, but we cann't ignore other factors that can lead you to other decisions about job. |
