Do you think these celebrities deserve such high salaries?

Jay, a famous singer in China, earns about three million a year; Jacky Chen, an outstanding action movie actor in Hong Kong, earns about seven million a year; Yao Ming, one of the top NBA middle force players, earns about ten million a year. Some people may think that their salaries are too high compared with mortals, they do not deserve that large sum of money the public give to them. But I deem they do. I based my point on the following arguments.

Firstly, many people thought these celebrities got where they are today only because they are lucky. But the truth is that before they became eminent, nearly every one of them has a painstaking childhood. Hard work is the only way to success. Jacky Chen's movie is breathtaking for its stunt, but Jacky never use visual stunt drawn by computer, all of these dangerous shots are done by himself. It is quite awesome, so I am always fond of his movie.

Secondly, they deserve these high salaries because they have lost their privacy. Due to nowadays development in technology, we can easily get some information about the celebrities or stars. Newspapers, magazines, TV, Internet, and so on, they are all the ways we could approach the celebrities lives. Jay is the most famous rap singer in china, and whenever you turn on the TV or read the newspaper or magazine, there will forever be a report about Jay, through his public activities to his private lives. Even who he dates with everyday is reported too. In other words, he totally lost his freedom, because he is under the spotlight.

Although many youths want to be celebrities like their idols, to be an eminent person is not as comfortable as we thought. A great proportion of them are under outrageous stress, because what they said and what they did have a profound influence on publics. They must behave themselves, even to some degree restrain their true emotions. And as these depression accumulated, some of them eventually committed suicides.

In short, celebrity is an ordinary person, who had paid a lot to win where he or she is today and leads a more complex life contains tears and sweats, which we cannot see. They do deserve the money they earned.
