Columbia Vs NYU

columbia's rank is better than NYU's. No doubt.

But a bro who is working at wall street now told me that due to the location of NYU, the NYU MBAs are more popular than Columbia's. Most NYU's MBAs can find summer intern, even the part time jobs through the semesters at WS. so at least in NYC, NYU MBA is better than C MBA.

NYU and C MBAs, Is that true?

haha, both of those two school are pretty good at finance.        but you will know why Columbia is Ivy League and NYU is not when you have chance to visit campus and read the lists of Alumni.

Anyway, New York is the best place to study business. If CBS refuses me next year, I will never hesitate to apply for New York Stern.

基本上，当第二个朋友跟我说“哦，你也可以当当哥大校董了”后，我就放弃了。

而且，我觉得能跟别人说“我和格林斯潘是校友”是一件很牛B的事。

Both are no doubt the best two b-schools for those who wanna step into finance industry (hedge fund, private equity and other buy side investments, investment banking, financial engineering, research, trading, private banking, etc) or stay in New York City with a decent job (no matter finance, consulting, marketing, sales, general management or media).

Generally NYU Stern is as phenomenal if not more than Columbia B-School in finance, marketing and media, and is slightly outperformed by CBS in consulting and general management.

When we are talking about alumni networks of CBS and NYU Stern, not Columbia and NYU, they appear to be at absolute same level (Warrent Buffet v.s. Alan Greenspan, Sallie Krawcheck v.s. Dick Fuld, Henry Kravis v.s. Arthur Zeikel, Rochelle Lazarus v.s. Tom Freston, ...). Stern's outperforms by scale (62000 v.s. 32000) due to a longer history and a larger executive program.
