第一份工作貌似无法开具工作证明了怎么办

第一份工作在一个start up的local consulting firm做了半年左右，公司不太正规，所以当时离职时也没有开具离职证明。
现在考虑申MBA时发现学校一般都会verify工作经历，而我一是不太记得当初离职的准确月份，二是我当时的HR也已经离职了，打了好几次电话给现任HR也是推来推去还没获得信息。
我担心万一到时学校来verify公司信息查不到我的资料会不会认为我是编造的啊？我在网申以及简历上该怎么写这段时间比较好呢，不细化到月份？

Hey there—so long as you are telling the truth—especially if you are based in China, there is NOTHING to worry about here.  They will only dig deep into your background if they suspect that something you have talked about is not true.  And so long as you are telling the truth, to the best of your ability, you will be fine.  For example, once you do get in and they dig a bit and become concerned, they will contact you and you will be able to explain yourself.  Just tell the truth—and you cannot go wrong.  Don’t stress about this—stress about the applications instead!  Good luck my friend…
