for msf, u gotta have very strong math skills & background; and the most important thing is ur real interest. just ask urself whether u like fin and whether u'd like to work on that domain? if the answer is positive, i suggest u explain these things 2 ur parents and try to persuade them. i do think chinese parents always worry too much and it's time for u to make a change. we work for getting closer to our dreams, not parents'. 

besides, no w/e is really bad for mba. even get admitted it won't do any good to u. because u have no working experience, u don't know the "big picture", u even can't answer those questions "why mba, why now".

just mull it over and the answer will be clear.
