Alumni VS 2nd year student interview (Duke)

I just received the interview invitation by 2nd year students. Could someone share with me whats the difference of style between alumini and 2nd year stundent interview?

很多人是被校友面试的，有没有哪位前辈是被二年级学生面试的呀，特别是duke的，请帮忙。

你在美国吗？在中国都是校友面试。查一下CD主页上面试区的帖子，至少有两个是关于Duke今年校友面试的。人都很nice。

学生面试不太清楚，不过一般都说比较拘泥于学校的问题，比较死板，不太和面试人交流，比较challenging一些。

Matt is a very nice guy, very few among U.S classmates.  Don't worry too much about your interview.  I don't think he will be very agressive pushing you too much.  Good luck!

至少想几点你能impress面试官的，你的经历，你的观点。我去年是香港校友面试验的，在咖啡厅里，气氛很轻松，自然放松，然后抓住机会引导话题，我是在被问到为什么像学mba时，把自己的观点和当时美国很火的一个reality show (The Apprentice)联系起来，所以让对方很感兴趣。 总之，如果面试官有眼睛一亮，或会心的笑容，说明面试基本成功。

另，chipmunk是前辈了，我们都得到过他的帮助。

I'm a SY Duckie now. Though I don't have admission interview experience, based on what I learned in Duke, I would suggest you focus more on team work, i.e, how you co-operate your team members with different background, culture, or opinion and make the whole team better than individuals.

As for Matt, he is from corporate background, grew up in a small town, so he is not like people from big cities like NY, L.A, etc, very nice and know how to listen.  That's all I can say about him, hehe....Hope you can understand.  

I agree with Eutopia said, trying to prepare something interesting, that would impress him for sure.  Others I would say are more likely basic questions.  Maybe you can add how you can add value to Duke, help the whole community to improve.  For example, bring your Chinese experience, both culture and working, to Duke and be more invovled in the school activities and help your classmates better understand China and think issues from global perspective.
