帮我看个信怎么回吧

We currently have one Chinese student in our program.  She has received a
tuition waiver.  We accepted another Chinese student and offered a Graduate
Teaching Assistant position but she went to another University.  You would be
competitive for some kind of award next year based upon the information you
have provided.

这个信是那个director的回信，mpa， 我挺想知道这个学校得到全奖的概率是多少，可以直接问吗？又好像太烦了。
回信除了谢谢还要说什么？这个回信人本身就是教授，要不要讨个词还是干点别的什么的？
