I heard that there will be Information Secssion held by IMD in Shanghai today. Could you pls let me know where it will be held in Shanghai? Somehow I failed to find the lcoation of the event at IMD's website. Thank you very much.

Thanks very much for sharing the information.

I got a mail from IMD EMBA program yesterday, saying I was considered more suitable for its EMBA program by a lady from its MBA program. I met and talked with this lady last november in Shanghai. I am now thinking to apply for its full- time program (preparing to take the GMAT soon). I met the guy from EMBA program late last afternoon and he introduced me the EMBA program. I am now a little confused: does it  a sign that the chance is less for the full time program application?

My background: 6yrs. trading (state-owned company), 6 yrs. sales management for two mid-sized Switzerland company (manufacture JV in China), and 2 yrs. own business. I had only 2 yrs. experience in college.

When will be appropriate to apply MBA2006? When will the semester start? If my background is mainly in Finance area, does it do any difference? Which one will IMD emphasize more, graduate background, working experience, or GMAT score?

I am not a insider into this one. But IMD executive education is highly valued and you might want to consider.   only note is that the school will not activelly find a new job for executive program participants. that is the key differences between EMBA versus a full time MBA.

not issue at all. some participants in current MBA are aged at 35 and beyond. The BENQ chairmman joined IMD mba at age 38... i read this from a recent article in sina.com.

hi. anytime from now to October is approapriate time to apply IMD class 2006.

Busienss school like to have class with diversified background. in current class about a quarter were from fiannce background..coorporate treasure, investment banker, and central bank officer.

In term of the screening criteria, my gut feeling (pure personal perspective) is that they emphasize more on professional achivement and a mature personality more than anything else.

I found that there is no requirement of TOEFL for admission on the IMD website, while other Europe schools ask for that, such as Insead.

Just want to confirm with you if the Toefl is not necessory to IMD.
