下面的文章是我核对以后的,但没有经过任何修改(绿色的是拼写错误,红色的是听错的): I'm going to talk about the (a) train that simplifies (exemplifies) the rise and full (fall) of passenger trains in the Unite State: the twenty (twentieth) centry (century) limited (这里都要大写). Let me go back just of it (a bit). In 1893, a special train was established to take people from New York to an exposition in Chicago. It has been (was) so successful that regular service was then set up between the (these) cities. In a regular (The inaugural) trip of the twenty centry (twentieth century) limited was made in 1902. The train was different from what anyone had ever seen before. It was pulled by a steam machine (engine) and that have (had) five cars, two sleepers, a dining car, and an observation car and a baggage car, which --believe it or not-- contained a library. The 42 passengers the train could carry were waited on by a large staff. There are even secondarterise (secretaries) and barber on board. It wasn't long before people had to wait two years to get a reservation. As time passed, techonical (technical) improvements shorten (shortened) the trip by a two hours. Perhaps the biggest tecological (technological) change occured (occurred) in 1945 the switch from steam to diesel engins (engines). By 1960 (1960’s), people were travelling (traveling) by car and airplane. Unfortunatily (Unfortunately), the great old train didn't survive until the end of the centry (century) it was enter for (named for).
I understand your professor has been discussing several easten (Eastern) wooden land (woodland) Indian tribes in your study of Native American cultrues (culture). As you have probably learned, the easten (eastern) wooden land (woodland) Indians get their name from the forest covered areas of the easten (eastern) Unite States where they lived. The earliest wooden land (woodland) cultrues (cultures) dated (date) back 9000 years, but the group will (we’ll) focus on dates back only to about 700A.D. We now called (call) this Native American the Mississippian cultrue (culture), because they settled in the Mississippi river vally (valley). This civilization is known for its flat-top (topped) monuments called temple mounts (mounds). They were made of earth and used as temples and offcial residents (official residence). The temple mounts (mounds) were located in the central square of the city. With a huss (the huts) of the town's people (townspeople) builting roads (build in rows) around the plaza. The Mississippian people were city drawers (dwellers), but some city residents are (earned) in their living as farmers, tending the fields and (of) cron (corn), beans and squach (squash) that's (that) surrounded the city. The city's arti (artisans) made arrowheads, leather goods, pottery, and jewelry. Traders came from far away to exchange warm materiors (raw materials) for these items. In the slids (slides) I’m about to show, you will see models of a Mississippi city.
| accent acute adequate admission alliance altitude ally brake(写成break) breed barrel与barrier bathe beam与bean beneath bit与bid blade bolt与bold brass bulb与bulk bump camel candy carbon carrot cassette ceremony charity chew
