Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Just because the parents are the persons who stay with us for the most of the time and because they bring us to grow up,they are the best teachers for us, is it a right conclusion?I m afraid it is not ture universally. The parents sometimes are beneficial for our studies, but they are usually not the best teachers. The peers and the teachers are those who teach us a lot things during our lifes and studies. The peers who have the same experience with one usually give him the best examples to follow. They understand the need of each other, and often can offer the sincere suggestions. For example, once I was going to be an intern in my field of study, my brother Mike told me to plan a sophisticate schedule to follow so that I will perform well in the course of internship. He himselp has gone through this unique situation, so he obviously has more strategies as I do, I took his advices and I arranged my time very well, I managed to be an excellent intern in the corporate as well as to be a good student. Indeed I might have failed the examination due to the lack of my energy unless Mike told me to be patient and diligent, and of course, thanks to his suggestion, I have a very perfect schedule to keep myself in track. Needless to say, teachers also have great infulence on the development of the youths, they has systematic knowledges and methods to make the teaching to be interesting to the students,Whereas the parents, don't know the techniques required to the students. The parents just eager to see our success so that they criticize us for any minor mistakes, this is not appropriate and may hurt the feelings for the children. For example, as I was a child, I used to ask for times to play and watch television, but my mother refused all the requirements and all I had to do is bury myself in a heavy load of homework. Admmittedly, the parents rear us to be mature and they teach the principle rules of the society, but the most significant lessons we learn are from our peers and teachers.Parents sometimes focus on the endeavor of pushing us to success too much and they lack the strategies to teach us in all aspects.Besides, after we grow up, their knowledges seem a litte outdate as compared to those of the teachers. Also, they don't understand some of our feelings as much as our peers can. Word Count: 421 |
