Parents are the best teachers.
As for the old saying that “parents are the best teachers”, some people are holding a different idea, for the society has a much bigger influence on everyone including children. However, I still stick to the old truth that no one else could be able to match with parents in teaching students. Now, I would like to further illustrate my opinion.
Firstly people spend most of his time with their parents, during which parents are always teaching us things including knowledge, skills and even values. In this way, parents will be able to deliver their wisdom in detail. In contrary, the teachers only have the time in class, and the society only owns the time of work. Considering the fact that more time definitely causes bigger influence, we will come to an understanding that parents are playing a major role in shaping children.
The comprehensive things taught by parents are the second contributing factor. Staying with parents, we are learning from the knowledge that parents consciously taught as well as parents in conscious behaviors and words which occupy a great deal in learning. In this way, parents educate us from hair to toe, while teachers and society both have unreachable corners in teaching. Take Bill Gates for example. As we all know he is definitely a successful businessman without a graduation, who didn’t inherit a vast quantity of wealth from parents. But his parents, along with his grandparents, do teach him a method of learning and working. Though not graduate, he fully utilized the inherited knowledge, by which he achieved much more than ordinary graduate.
Last but not least, naturally, children are much easier to communicate with parents and parents are much easier to comprehend children. Communicating deep and smoothly, parents and children will enjoy a highly efficient education, for they don’t need to waste time in getting accustomed to each other. What is more, confronted with the inevitable teaching problems, parents could find the most proper solution, which, in return, helps the process in teaching and learning.
With the 3 factors above, we can naturally tell that parents are the best teachers for children, for they owns none-match advantages in accompanying, understanding and communicating with children. So, we should attach great importance to the parents’ teaching towards children.
