Yes, it is very confusing. I visited the 2 schools last weekend. It is true people in ESADE more friendly. But I still held doubt about the ranking na! If you go through the school profile, students in IESE has much hight GMAT. Also on the partner school (exchange program) IESE partner up with a lot of big names such as LBS, Warton. (but in ESADE's exchange school pool they don't have such big names) I do believe that schools will only partner up with schools that are in the same level. And if u check the list by UK governament (world top 50 MBA may get working visa in UK sort of thing) ESADE is not on the list.
