Kellogg Or Wharton for Finance PhD

If you want to find a good academic job, then go to Kellogg. Wharton used to be a good place for finance phd, but right now it is a common knowledge that nobody consider it as a top program anymore.

不太清楚你具体的career path，不过如果今后打算做hedge fund的话，如果想从学界入手，你下海之前在哪里任教比哪里phd重要的多，所以尽量选个好的phd program（为什么不考虑UCLA或者duke？）如果想从业界入手，那么你之前在墙街做的如何恐怕远比你在哪里念phd要重要的多，那就应该选离wall street最近的地方，NYU显然比Wharton好很多。无论如何，Wharton都不是个好选择。

If you want to go back to China several years after your us academic job, then your jobs in the us university is far more important than where you get phd. And any Chinese university you may want to join(such as PKU) knows the market very well and can tell which program is better.

Someone from Chicago told me they have 1 yale and 1 NYU placement. But apparently these offers(even the flyouts) came out very late.
