specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Currently a great number of children like to spend a great amount of time practising sports. Although lots of children feel enthusiastic when they are participating in sports, some parents have a worry about that participating in sports will inevitably distract the efforts of their children made to study. However, just like an old saying goes: "No garden without weeds." Doing sports has both merits and demerits. The key point for us is to handle it well. Undeniably, doing sports does contribution to both strengthening the bodies of children and molding some positive characteristics of children. For instance, through playing basketball with other team members, children become strong and learn the significance of cooperation; through playing football, children may acquire the importance of making strategies for the final truimph besides strengthing their bodies. If a child participate in sports frequently, both his body and his mind will be cultivated. Because of the ever- accelerated developments of our society require a graduate with strong will and optimistic attitude towards life and work, a child who has spent some leisure time doing exercises is more likely to succeed in the future. On the other hand, we cannot ignore that there exists some children who spend too much time practicing sports. Finally they give up their studies. From my perspective, these children fail to balance sports and studies. As a young student, one need to notice that he should put study in the first place. Practising sports does have contribution to children's study and characteristics. However, it should be handled well. A successful student is able to make a resonable arrangement for both sport and study. If children cannot recognize the importance of study and become addicted to playing sports, it's clear doing sports may become harmful to their future. To sum up, it's impossible to decide whether doing sports is helpful or harmful to children's future simply by observing the surface information of it. The most important thing for children to know is that "Every coin has its two sides." If they properly doing sports, we can safely draw conclusion that they will benefit from it.
