It depends on where you want to work. If you want to work in the US, your transcript matters more than the major, because particularly at the MBA/Masters level, everyone knows that the major is simply a matter of how many courses you take in a subject. The difference between 4 or 5 classes can count for one major.. Does that one extra class make you an expert? No. And American companies understand this.

Not sure how it works elsewhere though.
