100 Some people think that governments should spend as much money as possible on developing or buying computer technology. Other people disagree and think that this money should be spent on more basic needs. Which one of these opinions do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

当时我没有看李笑来的书参考，只是看了整理出来的提纲：

1、应该用于满足基本的需求。
   原因：
 a、世界上很多人还很穷，没有饭吃，政府应当解决他们的问题
 b、世界上的环境问题也很严重，空气污染，所以政府应当花钱解决这些问题
 c、世界上的犯罪现象很严重，社会不安定，政府应当解决这些问题

Have you ever seen a thin-wear carline, who was almost seventy years old, collecting the discarded articles for living on a freezing evening? Did you know that about four thousand kinds of plant were endangered in China? Did you know that the number of registered crime was more than four million in the past year? If you have never had such experiences or knowledge, you would never know how important it is to spend as much money as possible on basic needs.

 

To most of us, the standard of living is gradually become higher and higher. But poverty is always being over many families. A journey in last year to a remote mountain village, left a deep impression on me. Why? Because the villagers there were so poor that most of the families just had one or two rooms to live in. They always eat and slept with their livestock together in the same room for the livestock might be stolen if left outside. Most of them lived on corn besides a few less poor families could eat rice now and then. This case is not rare, in reality, a number of impecunious people needs the help of the government.

 

Another noticeable problem is the pollution of the environment. A lot of pollutions, including air pollution, water pollution and solid pollution and so on, have coursed many serious ecological problems, such as the damage to vegetation, Species extinction and Land degradation etc. These pollutions are now doing a lot harm to us. Reports show that 70% of the lung cancer suffers in Beijing have something to do with the air pollution. And these pollutions are gradually leading to  cancer, aberration and mutation to people that will endanger our offspring. The human beings will destroy themselves if the problems not to be solved.

 

The crime should also took into account except for the two problems mentioned above. According to the police, the crime is becoming more and more. These actions made all of us lose the feeling of safety, and also lead to the social instability. To reduce the crime gradually, the government should spend more money on promotion of the rule of the law and improving the quality of the people.

 

Certainly, spending money on developing or buying computer technology has its own advantages, a good case in point is cultivating high-tech talent. From what has been discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that spending money on more basic needs is the wiser choice.
