Simon is working to change its image as pure finance school. Last week, Simon School and the University of Rochester Medical School just launched the Ph.D./MBA dual degree program focusing on the healthcare, which is the first Ph.D./MBA program in top B-schools. According to the outline of the program, UR Medical School will provide a tremendous financial support to the dual degree students. Prof. Larry Von Horn, who is the coordinator of this program, said the reason for this program is the MBA students who pick up healthcare as concentration are the best selling students in Simon, and he usually has more job opportunities than the qualified MBA students.
