Chicago GSB & Kellogg 2008 part time MBA

本人现在美国工作, 上个月递交了Chicago GSB 和 Kellogg 2008 MBA (Spring)的申请. 刚收到Chicago的录取通知, 还在等Kellogg的.

大部分的CDer是申请full time MBA的. 但不知是否有在美国申请part time MBA的朋友? 若是有相同经历的朋友, (不论是准备申请, 已申请, 被录取或是已开学的) 不知是否有兴趣联系一下? 说不准我们会成为classmate.

which semester are you going to start? 2008 spring? have you already submitted application?

Writing essays for part-time MBA should be the same as writing essays for full-time. There're lots of helpful posts in CD regarding how to write essays. The most important things are to make yourself stand out (variety) and fit the culture of the school (fit).

The only special consideration that I can think of is that not all the part-time students are career changers. That means you have to specify your goal clearly between advancing career to the next level within your current job function and pursuing career opportunities in a new function area.

I got offer from Chicago in two weeks, and got offer from Kellogg in four weeks. During application, I found that Chicago is more efficient. But this is only my case and for your reference only.

LS is NN. Darden's full scholarship! I believe you will get offer from Chicago and MIT as well. Chicago part-time MBA program is at downtown/Gleacher Center. I was living in the walking distance to Gleacher Center. The enviroment there is much better than Hyde Park.

If I were five years younger, I would quit my job and go for full-time. But now, the opportunity cost of full-time is too high. sigh...
