Currently, famous entertainer or athlete is the model of the youngsters. And it is the hard working and talent that the famous person has makes him or her to be popular with most people. Some of them really set a good example to the kids, such as the most famous basketball player of China, Yao Ming, who is also the rising star in NBA. If I have an opportunity to meet a famous person, I would choose Yao Ming. Yao Ming is of great height and has a big talent in playing basketball since he was a child. Through so many years’ endeavor, fortunately, he gets to the position he really deserve. The process of his growing really tells us a lot. In those years when he was a teenager, the term （condition）of practicing basketball was so bad that he often got hurt, but he never give up or complained about it. Therefore, after the name Yao Ming becoming household, the story like this one is equally popular with people and become the material of educating the young. Another season why I want to meet Yao Ming is that he has lots of good qualities besides the talent in beyond the basketball court, such as humility and the (a?) sense of humor. Humility, in my point of view, is one of the best qualities (characters) that few of the famous stars have. But Yao Ming has it which makes him accessible and easy to cope with. On contrary, some of the so-called “stars” is proud and look down upon other people. Humor also helps Yao Ming greatly in communicating with media who often throws some sharp questions to Yao. The humorous way of speaking makes the dialog in the interview go fluently without hurting anyone’s feeling. In conclusion, Yao Ming is the famous athlete I want to meet most. I think I can benefit from the meeting with him and it would have a positive influence on my life. |
