016 It has recently been announced that a new restaurant may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

I am living in a campus. Although there are several restaurants here, the seats in restaurant is not always available on the weekend. From my perspective, I support the idea that to built a restaurant in my neighborhood because it not only spark local economic of my area but also provide an open public place for people to get together.

 

First of all, it offers an ideal place for people to get together. My friends and I are always busy around study and work. But sometime we need to have a break to have a relaxation. The restaurant is such a nice place that we don’t have to worry about interfering others when we are chatting and laughing loudly. We may also meet new friends that have common interest with us when we have a lunch or dinner at a restaurant.

 

In addition, building a restaurant is an effective way to spark local economy. Building an restaurant is a large-scale construction and would definitely create many job opportunities in our area such as accountant, chef, concession, usher. These employees will be drawn from local population. In consider of the tight job market in my area, the restaurant will potentially support many families.

 

At the same time, building a restaurant will attract many businesses in other district to take investment in our area, such as movie theater, super market, as well as shopping center because many people would probably like to go shopping or watch a movie after have a delicious meal. The leisure activities would be a great chance to further develop the local economy. This in turn would in increase the profit of the restaurant.

 

Generally speaking, building a restaurant in my district would potentially contribute a lot to our local economy. At the mean time, people’s leisure activities would be much more diversity than ever before.

Let me give a benchmark. My final score of this part of writing is Good, but the independent part is just fair. Maybe I have not prepared enough in that part.
