MBA Application Journey ! The game just begins!

Finally finished G… longest preparation exams that I had ever studied !!! Even longer than my preparation in professional exams...heehee.

As usual, waked up and went back to Office to work…… had a strong feeling that application should start as soon as possible as many of my CDer friends have already submitted their application in R1...  i have to dash for R2 application... hurry ... yeah.. hurry... BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT …. But really don’t know how to start?   

Have been surfing in the internet for an hour… chatting in msn… but really don’t know how to start the application… Hopefully, by start writing something daily woul boost my morale on MBA application !!!  

 

MBA application is a kind of  tricky game… energy, determination, consistency all counted and it’s a good game to learn throughout and especially can meet u CDers who are helpful, positive, delightful, encouraging with brightest energy through the body!!! 

Whatever the application result is !!! I have already earned a great friendship inside this CD family !!!

 Let me first write down what have i done so far...

Essay --- done the long career goal essay  (1st draft --- Berkeley)

Fill out the application form of UCLA, Berkeley !!!

Went to MBA tour on 2005

Went to Columbia MBA info session last month in Hong Kong… the admission committee is a cheerful lady!!!  Had a feel that the alumni are all brightest kids !!! Gifted !!!

Hey, let me set some specific tasks for this MBA battle similar to the one I did in GMAT !!!! Timetable/schedule helps to motivate oneself !!!…  haha... sitting in front of the computer... searching for information for the whole day long and chatting in msn for half of the time... seems that essay bit is difficult to conquer !!!

Planning to express some of the ideas to my friends to see whether it works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MBA!!! I am coming !!!!

Wake up early in the morning !!! It seems that everything is a new start !!!

Today task... just find the CD 2005 NN inteview script downloaded from CD...haha... read a bit in the breakfast time... have a feel that NN emphasis a lot on Essay portion... one of the NN who got admitted from HBS shared her view that Essay portions for 60% and interview for 20% and the review 20%... agreed... because only essay would reflect your own personality, ability, eagerness, passion !! Nothing... G/T is just a little promise that u can complete the course !!!

From now on... i would read about the NN thought and ideas ... also have a thinking this morning that CD is a place to share our friendhsip in which though we might not in the same schools... but no matter which schools we are in the next sept !!! Our deepest friendship would be business partners one day !!! Perhaps one day we can cooperate together to share for the business news, investment strategies as well as the strategic management skills !!!

Planning to write, write and write... amend, amend and amend....write more, speak more, one day we all can improve...

Oh.. yeah..i set up a little plan last night... my morning task is to read through the rest of the NN sharing and start filling the rest of my PLAN !!!! 

Continue to add oil !!!  First target essay ---- Columbia

Just figure out the deadline stuff.... pretty lots of schools to pick !!!

feel that application essay works is really a big task !!!

Thx Alan... seems everyone is doing good !!! I am so glad to see u guys here... Yeah.. I rejoined the application !!! Fighting for Round 2 application !!!  In fact, i really love surfing around CD as I can meet all the Chinese around the globe !!! Being Chinese is a gift!!!

after posting for this thread for a month, i surfed around such as visiting various schools website... networking with the alumni, friends, ... attending mba tour, msn with CDers... the application feeling is really great !!! but i start to learn how to package myself...

realised that many CDers got offers from dream schools, so great to hear that..

my status is pretty lacking behind !! i submitted for NYU R1.... though planning for the berkeley which the deadline due on next monday... probably cannot meet it... anyway, the structure frame was rite there...

go for it... it is good to prop up and drop down 1-2 line everyday to boost my own morale... we all learn and grow everyday !!!

9 Dec 9pm    things in my mind.... have done the short and long term career goal essays.... 

now working on the leadership essay.... get good advice from one of the CDer... a good leader has to lead ppl, motivate ur subordinates, listen to ur colleagues/subordinates... review the process, manage the process , forsee for the difficulites... take an initiative to overcome the problems
