It is said that schools and parents are the two most important effects on children. In my opinion, the classmates have a more crucial influence on a child’s success in school, and I shall argue later about the point of view mentioned above.

Undoubtly, parents are the most closed people to children. As we know, parents are considered the life teachers of children and friends to some extent. Let's suppose how a child will face without parents: everyday the poor child must prepare the food, get up on time--a difficult task for most ones, go out to make money, which is impossible as it is against the legislations. Apparently, parents play a indispensable role in a child's daily life.

However, classmates can give children more help. Needless to say, especially in China, the time children spend with their classmates is much more than that spent with parents. Whenever an arithmetic problem is troubling you, there stands the algebra genius of the school; if you have something depressing you, your best friend will share your pressure to make you stimulate again. These kinds of help, which parents probably cannot give, will constantly assist children in the journey to the coast of success.

One thing more important is that classmates obviously contribute to the schools' atmosphere that has a vital influence on children's characteristics, which are determinate to the study of children. In china, I once studied in the city's best elementary school, a school which has cultivated so many successful elites. One thing may astound you is that parents must pay 30,000 yuan, the average yearly salary of a city dweller, to get the permission to the school for their children. Despite the teachers' ability, the good atmosphere the whole students make is another important factor.

It is true that parents make influence on a child’s success in school, but it is not difficult for me to accepting that classmates have a more significant effect on it.
