I have been realizing that life is full of choices. We have to learn to give up something to obtain better benefits. Just as stated in the title, when the limited amount of money can be spent either on a wonderful trip or a car that someone can use for a long time, different people may make different choices. Of course, both choices have their advantages. Generally speaking, if I were asked to decide between going to a vacation and buying a car, I will choose the later. I do not actually need a car right now but I feel a car can bring much more benefits to people. The reasons are listed as follows.
The first thought about having a car is how it can make our lives different. Admittedly, to maintain a car in good condition costs money. However, we can benefit tremendously from using a car. We do not have to wait for a bus which may fail to come forever in a harsh winter day. We can move out to a better apartment away from downtown because a car enables going to work on time. When our friends need a drive, if we are willing to help, they can always be our guests. Needless to say, a car can change our life in multiple ways.
While it is foolish to ignore the fact that going to vacation lets us see what we have not seen and experience what we have not experienced, just as how I started, we have to learn to give up. Can we go to vacation later? I think so. Can we travel by driving a car? Sure. I think there is much more fun. You must have heard how people drive their cars traveling across the states. Traveling like this is more economic. Since we only have such amount of money available, I will suggest we postpone the luxurious vacation plan and improve our living quality, from right now.
In conclusion, we can safely choose the wiser thing to do now. The advantages of getting yourself a car definitely outweigh those of going to a vacation. Trust me, you are making the right decision for your life if you invest the money in buying a car. |
