119.衣服是否会影响人的行为
I, as a fashion chaser, always purchase different kinds of clothes as a hobby. Either a skirt of an ancient European style, or a T-shirt of the modern Americans, or a coat of a Tibet style, all varieties are my appreciation. And I often hold a belief that different clothes have different impact on people’s behavior. There are several reasons supportive to my view.
Different dress one is wearing represents his or her mood, confident or melancholy, optimistic or pessimistic. Someone that dresses in T-shirt and jeans can possibly be an enthusiastic person, full of energy all the time. In contrast, someone that wears a suit all the time represents his or her obedience of rules and somewhat firm.
People have the habit of judging others by what they wear. And they show different attitudes according to their judgments. In China, people who wear Gucci, Prada, Chanel are always honored by others, no matter how rich they really are. Moreover, the respect one get when he or she is wearing luxuries can become vivid contrast to the disgust that the same person gets when dressing poorly. The behavior sometimes changes beyond our imagination.
Festival costumes are another kind of clothes that can change people’s behavior. People dress their traditional costume on festivals to show their pride and happiness. They sing, they dance, and they celebrate the festival in their own way. The celebrating activity, just like the costume, just represents the country’s tradition. The costume on festival make people behave just as the happy ambience demands.
It should be granted that clothes cannot change what a person really is, but the impact of clothes on our daily behavior often occurs in detailed occasions which are easy to ignore. As what was listed above, clothes has a vital impact on the way people behave.
