GWD-7-Q4:

从GWD7-4大家讨论的结果是比较支持B，那么GWD24，我也更偏向于D。这里的省略不会引起歧义，那么能省略就省略，更简洁。前面的have been更对称，这里的charge也更对称。

第二题：

看过了讨论，同意E

DE两个其实都没有歧义。

但是从句子意思看，重心在于比较的对象，这是其一，其二，大全和og我都没有见过后面只保留一个动词的。其三，D的charge与前头的charge完全一样，如果在没有歧义的基础上要选择省略的部分，与E比较，应该优先省略charge。

这个例子当时讨论的时候有朋友拿出来说过，但我觉得和本题有所不一样。

这道题首先动词的时态形式不一样（也就导致了动词意义的差别） were killed 和would later be killed ，所以不能省略。第二，主语Americans 泛指，与后面的主语相同，故可以省略。

再看我们现在这道，主语不同，谓语charge完全一样（我不选D的主要原因，这样的没有见过先例，而且如果动词一墨一样，ets常会用do代替) 强调的重心在主语，从句意E的省略我觉得稍好,E 后面省略与前面一样的charge，无可厚非。

另外，那个讨论帖子上有朋友说，as可作为关代，代替主语，我持怀疑态度，字典上没有说可以as可以做代词。

新东方老师的网络课堂说的有,than和as都可以兼作其后面比较部分的主语。我也见到过这样的例子。

GWD 24-10 同意选E。前后 as...as... 比较的是universities.
D 中 as charge over...比较的是charge 这个动作，语法不通--动词不能被用来做比较。

GWD 7-4 我觉得应该选E,
题干中 “the man-eater of the movies" 作 “the great white shark"的同位语，
考虑句子语法结构时可以忽略不计。
than 比较的对象前后应该一致，
根据语义，此处比较的是人的多少，所以用fewer,
fewer than 后面应该跟 people,
选项B应该为， fewer than those who have been killed by...
or fewer than those killed by...
只有E正确的使用了符合语法的fewer than the ones(相当于people) killed by...

参照OG187、OG132、gwd 24-20

OG 132 E 正确答案。As后省略主语

132. According to a study by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, companies in the United States are providing job training and general education for nearly eight million people, about as many as are enrolled in the nation's four-year colleges and universities.

OG解释：The comparison in E, the best choice, is logical because people is understood as the subject of are enrolled.

OG这道题形式与gwd24-20几乎完全一样。但是区别在于OG的2个动词时态不一样，而此题的两个动词时态一样。

问：根据几个明显的错误，可以很快地到答案。可是我很想知道as...as 的用法。如果A多加一个those, (A) Americans were killed as those, 是否更好一些呢？什么情况应该补全啊？

vincent0330：当as......as同级比较时, 同主语不同谓语的情况, 多半省略主语......

像这边的four times as many Americans were killed as (Americans) would later be killed

但若是比较宾语时, 则需补出主语:

ex: David has half as many records now as I had last year. (这里则省宾语)

Gwd 24-20 DE存在争议：

争论的焦点在于比较的对象。而且OG187的例子与本题不完全一样

D选项（与OG187几乎一样）

E选项：

GWD 24-20

我的见解是根据意思,其实这里charge还是charging不是大错,问题在于those还是要补充,因为根据原文的表达意图

后面charging $16000的学校性质和前面的是不一样的.如果省略了those,不合适.

前面的学校指的是independent institutions of higher education,有很多性质的这些学校,

和死掉的美国人那题不一样,因为美国人在那题中确实是泛指的,省略是ok的.

我自己的语感倾向选择E.

2个我都认为是E，

第一道：首先从符号上面排出AB，不可能是破折号，the man-eater of the movie是解释前面的大白鲨电影的，应该是插入语。排出前2个选项后面，明显就是E对了

第二道：D和E，翻译出来中文句意就很明显了。比较的是研究院的数量，8000$学校的数量是那些花费16000学校的三倍，省略也要在句意清晰的情况下省阿

我还没开始复习GMAT呢，语法什么的也没看，可能解释的很多错误，我的想法而已，望指正。

I'm pretty sure GWD24-20 's answer is E

Break the sentence down to its gist:

"more than 3 times as many...institutions... as ...."

You are comparing "INSTITUTIONS" to "charge" in D, so D is definitely wrong

(E) "as those [institutions] charing" it is the right answer.

movies, fewer than the ones (B)这道题考标点符号的问题，这里不能用",",因为变成了插入语，可以拿掉，后面那部分就不知道是什么成分了。

GWD 24-Q20

A) than those that charge

B) than are charging

C) than to charge

D) as charge

E) as those charging (D or E?)

这道题本来我选了D，后来想想，还是E好。理由：many independent institutions of higher education charge tuition and fees of ，相当于省了前面和后面的，这个在很多题了算错的，相同的谓语动词可以省略或用do代替。E正确的理由，charging这里做形容词修饰those，即使补上charge tuition and fees of ....也只是罗嗦，正因为罗嗦，所以省略。

GWD 24 20
D中 charge 有动词跟名词2个词性，会不会在这里有歧义？？
如果是N，那么就是institution 跟charge比，错。如果是V，那么跟之前的CHARGE重复，也应该省略
我觉得还是选E。
