标题: PREP2007 35 关于同位语和which修饰的区别
In laboratory rats, a low dose of aspirin usually suffices to block production of thromboxane,
which is a substance that promotes blood clotting, but not seriously interfering with the
production of prostacyclin, which prevents clotting.

答案是C，我纠结D和C，想请教各位牛牛，为什么D不正确？B中的a substance不会有指代整个production of thromboxane的歧义么？
我看了参考答案说D会引起does not seriously interfere和is 平行的歧义，从而全部修饰thromboxane，但是这种歧义会会在C中引起么？

D选项最关键的错误是a substance to promote

结构是a noun to verb
这种结构一般只适用于noun = 抽象名词 → a way to finish这种情况

好哒，明白了，谢谢斑斑！！在耽误斑斑两分钟。。
但是对于同位语不是很明白，想跟斑斑求证，比如说向这个题，我觉得同位语用法是不是很灵活，就是可以就近修饰还有跳跃修饰？
比如说在In 1713, Alexander Pope began his translation of the Iliad, a work that took him seven years to complete and that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope's contemporary, pronounced the greatest translation in any language.这里修饰的就是整个translation of the Illiad？
而在 Yellow jackets number among the 900 or so species of the world's social wasps, wasps that live in a highly cooperative and organized society consisting almost entirely of females--the queen and her sterile female workers.这里仅仅修饰的是wasps？

小菜豆感觉，这题的主要矛盾是区分划线部分到底是同位语还是非限定性修饰语。理论上说两者都可以，
但实际究竟是哪个就看句子作用了，如果句子要解释前面的专有名词那么同位语必然是首选。
