OG149，

Last year, land values in most parts of the pinelands rose almost so fast, and in some parts even faster than what they did outside the pinelands.

答案是D，问题是为什么THOSE 后面不加DID呢？我的理由是要和前面的谓语动词“ROSE”想对应呀！！！请求指点！！THANKS A MILLION！

谓语相同可以省略，其实我觉得在这里those 都可省略

如果outside the pinelands做状语的话，than前后主谓相同，所以都可以省略

语法书里：

The roads are much quieter here than in London

outside the pinelands 是修饰those 的。而且，在大多数规范用法中还是需要those 的。

有个问题都没人提出, 不知可否帮忙整理一下:

almost 是副词, so 跟 as 也是副词, 可以这样修饰妈? almost 在此是不是修是整个比较的句子呢?

前人总结的比较级用法是系表结构中系动词可以省,否则不能省助动词.有点矛盾.

我要到10份才考呢。业余时间准备比较慢。

我还是觉得表结构中系动词可以省,否则不能省助动词。注意系表结构不包括被动。被动里的be不能省。

在没有歧义，又没有更好的选择的情况下，有例外，比如这道题。主要看是否会引起歧义。

一下引自800分NN：

than 后面尽量补足助动词（因为介词也可省略,若不补足助动词，或引起歧义）

我觉得这里是因为加入了插入语 and in some parts even faster than 所以不能省吧。

如果直接是

land values in most parts of the pinelands rose almost as fast as outside the pinelands

那么省去those也似乎不影响啊。

同意这种说法，这里those不能省略就是为了给as fast as和even faster than一个宾语，这也是为什么E不对的主要原因，因为E的as fast as后面没有了比较对象。

We can not omit those because the land values in the pinelands and the land values outside the pinelands are two different sthings!
