想问的是选项A带入句子后with就修饰了orb-weaving spiders，那D带进句子为什么with就变成修饰了that are essentially wheel-like了呢？
是什么原因？

求求各位大侠指点指点

with独立主格作为状语修饰，它修饰的是preceding clause，因此第一句是 spiders build webs....——逻辑主语是spiders，修饰的build；而第二句的preceding clause却是webs that are essentially wheel-like 这个从句，因此with独立主格修饰webs that are essentially wheel-like 这个从句

我以为的是：with修饰的是主句主语发出的动作。sisi 你的意思就是说with是修饰前面的句子，而且是离它最近的句子咯(不管主句还是从句)？
那夹心修饰里的with是不是也是作状语修饰?

它是修饰主句呢？还是从句呢？？

修饰从句啊，根据逻辑含义也能判断啊

但是应该是acute stress 导致才对啊？并不是大脑导致，也不是大脑考虑……所导致啊？这个句子有三层。修饰从句的话是修饰中间的从句吗？

with一般是做主语的修饰就是离它近的（从句主句）主语的修饰。关键看句子逻辑意思
