这是OG里面的三道题目，答案分别是CBB。
问题在于，第一题选A为什么不对？
      第二题选A为什么不对？如果A 改为the splitting apart continents或者the continents splitting apart，能不能选？？
      第三题，B改为rising moon for a massive Soviet missile attack是否仍然正确？？
对于，这类情况，到底是用DOING作中心词好，还是把DOING当作是形容词来修饰别的中心词好。
请教各位XDJM，先谢谢大家。

1、A 的意思是The rising 。。。has created a growing opportunity ，而且rise有名词形式，没必要用动名词。
2、A错在不平行， caused 后应是平行的几个部分。splitting这个动名词毕竟是动词功能。其前加THE后，就转化为名词，不应再带宾语。
3、你这样改后可能是动态和静态比较，也算比较不对等吧？

问题在于，第一题选A为什么不对？

这道题的关键是找准中心词，A中的中心词是上升，翻译为成本的不断上升，C的中心词是成本，翻译为不断上升的成本。根据逻辑意思，应该是成本创造机会，而不是上升创造机会，所以要选C

splitting apart continents，是一个动词词组，但是reversals ，eruptions都是名词，所以不平行。

如果A 改为the splitting apart continents或者the continents splitting apart，能不能选？？

也不正确！因为是catastrophic impacts 造成的是大陆的分离，而不是大陆。

不正确了，因为改动后中心词就是moon了，而原来的意思是月亮的上升，强调了动作。

应该是动态与动态之间的比较。
