标题: 请问改错中题的第121题Sales of wines...
OC12中Sentence Correction中的第121题：

Sales of wines declined in the late 1980s, but they began to grow again after the 1991 report that linked moderate comsumption of alcohol, and particularly of red wine, with a reduced risk of heart disease.

答案A是原句

答案E:
a reduced risk of heart disease linked to moderate alcohol consumption in a 1991 report, and in particular red wine, started them growing again

题目正确答案是A，对答案E的解释时是：the incorrect placement of the modifier in a 1991 report suggests that wine is being consumed (albeit in moderation) in the report itself.

（1）请教一下答案E的解释说会让人误解wine is being consumed in the report itself是啥意思？难道report=meeting or seminar or sth?

（2）正确答案and particularly of red wine中的and做什么成分？and用法感觉怪怪的，是不是去掉and更好更符合语法习惯？

括号内部的内容可以理解为这个 report 的内容，即报告了一个已经发生的事实，即（下降的risks 和适度酒的消费）使得sales再度上涨（注意：已经消费了），而题目要表达的意思是当关于适度饮酒可以降低risks 的报告发表后，sales 才上升，存在明显的因果关系，而E选项因果关系混乱。
（2）and 引入一个平行，consumption of alcohol, and particularly of red wine, of alcohol 与 of red wine平行。且 of 前面省略了 consumption，个人认为 and 不可以省略，省略的话就变成了插入语了么。。。

对于这道题，我自己的看法，希望和大家讨论：
1. 题目的重点在于consumption in alcohol，所以选项中focus在红酒，而非consumption in 红酒的选项都可以排除。这个是纯靠逻辑判断的
2. 每个错误选项的末尾都有they/them代词，但是他们之前都有一大堆的插入成分，所以个人感觉鬼佬为了清除的表达，是不会这么写句子的吧，所以能不能依靠这点直接排除B-E呢？

我想问一下annie同学：
其实像上题这种，选项每一个都不一样，且感觉都很相似，需要逐个排除的题目，在OG里面还是不少的。
我想请问，如何能够较快的看出考点，或者快速排除错误选项呢？因为这类题我可能都要花个5分钟逐一去看选项，在考试中肯定就挂了。
有没有什么方法可以加快这种题型的解答？

对不起啊，我今天才看到帖子，CD没有提醒，我一般都直接发站内会话，这样比较快么~
首先从逻辑角度来分析的话，我个人是这么考虑的，sales of wines declined in the late 1980s，but 此时不看后面的，就应该可以猜想到一定是 sales 又增加了，所以but后面最好直接跟结果显得结构比较清晰。并且 but 也是一种平行的marker。所以我就优先考虑A选项。（都是SV+时间的结构）
对于你说的直接排出BE选项的理由，我个人认为，在考试的时候可以用，因为出现代词，句子的出错率会大大增加。可是不是很保险，因为也有含有代词的句子正确的。
对于快速解题这个问题，我觉得如果画线部分很长并且没有明显错误或者分类标识的话，它更侧重于考逻辑，即怎样安排顺序可以使得信息没有歧义的准确表达，从作者想表达的侧重点和逻辑上进行排除最快，还有就是闪光点排除，比如本题C选项的to begin to grow again，我立马排除了。

http://forum.chasedream.com/GMAT_SC/thread-660306-1-1.html 多谢Annie在这个帖子中的指点，第一点我完全同意，对于第二点，我不是很明白，and一般引导平行结构，但是这里的particularly (comsumption) of red wine感觉跟comsumption of alcohol是一个从属关系，更像是一个强调，所以我觉得去掉and会更合理，这样particularly (comsumption) of red wine可以理解成为link的宾语同位语，你觉得呢？

1）这里是产生歧义的一种典型形式， in a 1991 report既可以做consumption的定语，这就i是OG中这么解释的原因。而且还可以做linked这个过去分词的状语
2)这里的“，and”的用法的确很奇怪，如果引导的是平行成分的话不应该加逗号的啊，顶请NN解答啊

嘿嘿，看自己以前的解释，觉得不到位啊。。。
如果说按照你说的，不用and 引导，仅表示一种强调，那么则应该是 particularly red wine，那么连同of也要被略去。而这里的of 是不能省略的，这时需要从逻辑意义上来理解，是酒的适度消费导致risk降低，而不是red wine 导致risk降低。
以前说的那个什么插入语什么的，不正确额。。。

贴一个Ron对这里and的解释：

in any case, here's what's going on:
if the construction just said "...of alcohol and of red wine", then, yes, it would be nonsense.
on the other hand, this sentence includes the word "particularly" -- whose function here is to legitimize this parallel structure.
in other words, the inclusion of "particularly" is basically a way of saying, "yes, these really are the two things i wanted to put in parallel."
there are other constructions that do the same type of thing -- because, after all, sometimes authors actually want to make parallel structures between things that are not "traditionally" parallel.

看到这里我马上联想到了一个and thus的用法，感觉一下子就解释得通了哈，不用纠结and这里连接的是并列结构了
