今天作了GWD7,发现自己的想法有问题。里面的32题as as 后面就没有what，和本题不一样，what 是可省可不么？请大家解惑！

我的问题是：

都是as as 为什么一个有what ，一个没有。应该有一个标准吧，不能有没有都算对。

后一题的答案好像很难推翻，所以怀疑5-14得答案。any other得问题。

请大家看看！

是的，leeon,是E.但是由于我上面讲的问题，我在怀疑D的any是不是一定错。如果“since1987年7月以来的这些个月”本身就是指7月之前的月份，那就可以用any而不用any other。不过又说不通，因为平常说since~,也是包含现在的。所以矛盾ing.discuss~

我觉得是D,既然What是可以省可以不省，那么按照ETS的偏好，省比不省好。

关于Other我觉得是多余的，因为since October 1987已经排除了７月，所以不存在比较范围包含自身的矛盾，如果加了other反而罗索，而且逻辑不通：在７月转移的金额比其他１０月以后转移的多，是不是很怪？

如果since6月，包含７月，那么就应该排除７月，加other.本来就不包含，加other反而是错的．

14，真是与我心有戚戚焉呀，我当时一看到than in any month since October 1987和than in any other month since October 1987，就觉得是出题人下的套，从逻辑上讲，since october 1987已经把七月份排除在外了，再用other 是毫无意义的。我认为选e的人是认为than any other 是定式，所以才会勉强接受后面的what，也不愿选d。显然，than any other 常出现在正确的选项中，但绝不是说它是永远正确的。

what不是多余的。estimate 的是the sales of fund shares,所以要有WHAT来替代

the sales of fund shares.

有人说“any other month"中的other是多余的，理由是July已经被排除在October 1987

之外了。拜托了，看清题目，谁说July指的是1987的July了？可能是2004的JULY噢。

此外，what应该没有问题, sales是与industry trade 所estimate的内容相比，用what引导是没有问题的。

这题楼主思路不对，这题考的是比较结构，前面有MORE，那么后面一定有THAN，加是THERE BE 句型是INFORMAL句型，因此C不于考虑。再者，ANY MONTH容易有歧异，（ANY：任何）可能包括了JULY，因此只能是E

AS~~~AS结构考的是平行对称，这里的WHAT 有前面sales of fund shares in July 的意思在里面。

what的补出并不是多余的，因为后边的an industry trade group had previously estimated需要宾语。如果省略了what，造成后半句结构不全，注意，这里后边是个整句，不同于than estimated 的用法。

SO MUCH AS 往往用于否定句，OG105注解：so much as is considered idiomatic if it is preceded by a negetive , as in "she left not so much as a trace."

另外，SO +形容词 AS TO 相当于TOO。。。TO是否定意思OG136，OG88

讨论过分复杂了。ABCD的错误就不说了。E中的what是代词，what可以做代词，形容词，副词，名词。而代词的what功能也有几个，不仅仅是疑问代词“什么”；what在这里的意思是that which/the thing that。为了让比较结构并列，这里用了what表示比较之物。把what换成the thing that就很容易选择了！

首先搞清楚，比较方式有两种，一种是比较主谓成分，一种是比较主语：
1:比较主谓成分（省略what）
成为as thought和as expected是一样的，都是省略了括号中的成分economy might be weak as (economy is)expected(to be)

所以看出as...as后面的主语可以承前省略的（回答23楼的问题）

同理as estimated（to be weak）也可以，做题时候就把这些看成的固定搭配好了（as…thought/expected/estimated等表示如某某所想是固定用法）
翻译：虽然7月份减少的多，但是7月份的sales并没有象预测地（sales）那样下滑

2：比较主语
当比较主语时，加上what也没有错，estimate what

当然，从翻译可以看出，用固定搭配更好一些
