很明显，B是答案，但我是否可以把A看成是一种省略形式呢？是不是为了达到平行的效果，所有对称的成分都不能省略呢？

可是可以，但是问题是省略后会不会有歧义：is not for the sake of the court but the nation 最后一个the到底对应前面哪个the？所以B好，没有歧义。

呵呵，我就是觉得无论for还是of都不影响其含义
