It takes sth to do 的用法。句子里的do 动作由谁发出？it 又指代什么呢？

我只知道：

It takes sb some time to do. 且sb 和do 还可以构成动宾。it，形式宾语指代 to do

我查了大全注释，说：要把take 看成require的，这样一看句子通顺多了，可是这个是一个固定的用法吗？

To do sth requires sth

it在句首作为逻辑主语，一般指代的要们是that从句，要么是不定式，这两种方式是it逻辑指代的通常用法。
