我的想法是，manhattan上说两种正确的名词修饰方式是【adv.+adv.+n.】和【adj.+adv.+n.】，前者强调名词后者强调形容词。
那这边明显是为了强调被修饰的名词，这样就在A，B，C中选，最后选了A。
请问这个思路哪有问题？谢谢大家~

末句an invading microbe or foreign substance中名词是单数，那么与之对应的名词应为单数，排除C,D；修饰形容词unlimited只能用副词seemingly，排除A,B,C；target at固定搭配排除B,D

不能。 seeming 不能修饰number. 意思上讲不通。
