为什么D不可以呢~我感觉D里the rate 和后面句子里的death rates搭配着挺舒服的，可以帮我解释下吗~

D中的rate被of fatty food修饰，整个短语意思就成了油腻食物的价格，而原句at a rate想要表达的意思是法美两国消费油腻食物的比率，显然两者不同。真要用rate作主语就要说成The rate at which people consume fatty foods is the same in France as in the US....

我也选了D。对B有疑问的地方是，难道B中people in France and the United States 不会有歧义么？到底是法国人和美国人，还是即在法国又在美国的人呢？我觉得应该是people in France and in the United States才对，就像D一样，the United States前面要加in

这个解释显然是错的

the rate for才是什么的价格，the rate of就是比率

这道题的关键点在歧义上

D可以歧义理解为 the rate........and the United states is the same

按照你的解释，B不会有歧义吗？
B是否也可以理解成 people……and the United States consume fatty food 呢

LZ，D选项的错误在于the rate of fatty foods，这里的 rate 不应该是fatty foods的，fatty foods本身是无法有 rate，这套题 rate只能指的是 consuming fatty foods，就是说这个比率不能指油脂食品的比率，而是指消费油脂食品的比率。
