这道题目的难度比较大，考场中如果不能保持清醒的头脑，很有可能会把题目做错。题干的意思是提升，退休，死亡，和其他活动在五月份的董事会议上被批准了，这将会在7月15日的公司报章上有所报道。稍加分析我们就会发现问题，提升和退休可以被批准，死亡怎么能被批准呢，这明显属于词与词之间的逻辑关系搭配错误。答案应该选E，句子的最后另起了一个分句，这个文章也会包括死亡报告，消除了逻辑错误，而且用了obituaries是death的书面语，更符合商业英文的习惯。作者: Kb24 时间: 2011-5-4 10:59
1 one fueled 里面one很重要，要保留，不然的话会理解为application fueled, 而句子强调的是rise。所以排除DE ABC里面，A的结构明显平行：resurgence, costs, and recruiting... BC的里面这几个短语明显都不平行，所以选A
2 楼上解释的蛮好啦，ABC排除，因为death怎么能被approved呢？只能是obituaries。 何况BC的结构比较乱。剩下DE D的结构：meeting, promotion, retirements, and other actions, will be....里面连 meeting都被平行进去了变成了主语，明显错了.E正确
3. A interest作为主语，不能'very popular'. popular的是fans, 不是interest. B the renewed interest in the fans, which 就近指代fans, 整个结构是interest began when the ...in 1974...结构完整，时态正确。 C after they were... the interest ...明显主谓不一致，前半句想指的是fans,后半句变成了interest.错误和A类似 D fans were....with the renewed interest beginning in them... 非常awkward E fans were popular, and now interest in them has begun when crisis in 1974....不但比较啰嗦而且时态错误。后面明确由时间标志，应该用过去时。and now也是多出来的扭曲了原文意思。
