these不能裸奔，后面一定要接noun，如，these dresses are popular among the girls。不能单独指代。可以理解为了noun modifier。

they/them 可以单独指代，用做主语和谓语。
如，the dresses sold in the shops are in fashion. they are popular among the girls.
