我看了OG的答案，还是不明白为什么A中which引导的从句就不会引起修饰问题，而C中的which引导的从句就会一起修饰问题呢

我看了OG的答案，还是不明白为什么A中which引导的从句就不会引起修饰问题，而C中的which引导的从句就会一起修饰问题呢

C有两个问题
1.called修饰谁，就近原则应该修饰 pollutants, 错误比较严重
2.which举例修饰对象千山万水，太远了，不如A好

C: A technique ...pollutants, called proton-induced X-rray emission, which can quickly analyze the chemical elements...
OG对C的解释除了对called放置位置不对外，指出另一错误是“which incorrectly and illogically modifies emission.”
AC中which从句不都是放在proton-induced X-ray emission之后的么？为何A种which从句又不存在指代问题了呢？？？

我也还没有明白～～：（ called...不可以跳跃修饰A tehnique吗？？？

如果C,D的“which从句”之前添加一个"and"连词，是不是called修饰主语A technique就没有歧义了呢？？

我有个小疑问，（虽然对选择答案没啥影响）CDE的解释中说"Called proton-induced X-ray emission should not be set off by commas"
这是为什么啊？？

A中which是指代a technique，因为technique是主语，有一种情况叫做定语后置，就是将主语过长的定语放到句子后面，这样做主要是为了保证主句的完整性。
而C中which与technique相距太远了，修饰容易产生歧义

这题我用一个较为简便的方法，当有很多Modifier连成一排时，根据manhattan，要避免run-on句式的出现，就算非常勉强地语法上没有错误，理解起来也很困难，所以最好一个放在主语前，一个放在主语后，那么我们来看下原题，原题里面的三个modifiers，叫M1,M2,M3，只有called proton-induced X-Ray emission连接在主语后面时，可以被视为一个mission critical modifier（表示属性或名称）叫做MC，其他两个都不是。
按照这个逻辑，A就是M1+主语（MC)+M2。B是M1+M2 +主语 (MC)， C/D/E都是主语+M1+M2+M3。只有A符合避免run-on的语法。
