lz好细心啊
先谢过啦,学到很多

恩,我认为这里的用法符合第四种
4 except for what has just been mentioned:
He was tired but otherwise in good health.
[sentence adverb]
I could hear the distant noise of traffic. Otherwise all was still.
[+ adjective/adverb]
This spoiled an otherwise excellent piece of work.这个毁坏了本来会是一项杰作的作品otherwise修饰excellent
Their arrival livened up an otherwise dull afternoon.他们的到来使本来枯燥的下午活跃起来 otherwise修饰dull

Carnivorous mammals can endure what would
otherwise be lethal levels of body heat 这句话的意思就是哺乳动物能够忍受本来是致命水平的体温
otherwise作副词修饰be

我对下面的两点有点疑问,麻烦lz帮我看看吧
1 [sentence adverb] used when saying what bad thing will happen if something is not done:
You'll have to go now, otherwise you'll miss your bus.
Put your coat on, otherwise you'll get cold.
这里是句子副词吗?是不是应该是otherwise做连词啊。
2 [sentence adverb] used when saying what would have happened or might have happened if something else had not happened
We were delayed at the airport. Otherwise we would have been here by lunch time.
They got two free tickets to Canada, otherwise they'd never have been able to afford to go.
