标题: 挫折的今天！~~！ 来问题~~GWD TN12
写TN12 写得云里雾里的，想找解答吧。。那个题号T-4 的我还不知道怎么找破解。。。索性直接过来Po题好了~~望各位牛牛耐心指教

正答是D，C是错哪里啊，虽然读起来是很别扭，可是我不了解错点。。。

这个题。。我很怀疑是takes 打错。。。不然这到底是怎么并列的，正答是E，我当时没看出来它和A有什么。。区别。。

这个题。。我很怀疑是takes 打错。。。不然这到底是怎么并列的，正答是E，我当时没看出来它和A有什么。。区别。。

这道题关键还是要理解句子的逻辑了。

首先能确认的是句子主语为Holstein cows。然后我们要分别理解For the farmer who takes care to keep them cool的成分，与后面那个插入成分的修饰对象。

整句的结构应该是Holstein cows ... produce ... for the farmer. 介词短语表produce的对象。只是在这个题目里把这部分往前提到句首了而已。

再看后面的provide .. and milk ...可能是什么成分。在我看来有可能为两个作用：

1）作为who引导定语从句的一部分修饰the farmer，因此与to keep them cool应该并列。
在这种情况下，正确的句子应该是:
For the farmer who takes care to keep them cool, provide them with high-energy feed, and milk them regularly, Holstein cows are producing an average of 2,275 gallons of milk each per year. 但是这个形式在选项中没有出现。

2）与for引导的介词短语没有关系，本身用于修饰主语Holstein cows表虚拟语气。整体主干就是： provided ..., Holstein cows will produce ...完整形式就是if they were provided ..., Holstein cows will produce ....。对应的是正确的E选项。

    在我看来，D的问题在于the rate of mainstream American businesses failing这种表达方式是wordy的。fail的动词形式是fail，名词形式是failure。因此failing让人感觉是分词，而这种of后面跟主谓结构的句子结构在GMAT可以认为是必错的。

    另外，记得语法笔记上有解释过，while引导的从句结构是不需要考虑平行和主语一致的，即while从句里的主语与句子主语可以不一致。记得这点以后不要这么排除就可以了。

    这道题我反正也做错了。没看到什么完整的解释。我找到的最可能的原因就是and与in addition to是不能互换的，因为会导致连接的前后两个名词的地位不同。

    我当时做错的主要原因是认为to win是一种错误的表达方式，因为这里不需要表达动作目的的含义。那位nn帮忙引经据典解释一下？

    1.When倾向于表示某个特定时间点, at which表现的是一个period,(参见某个冰山移动类型的SC题),所以用at which更优.
    2.A和B的it指代什么呢,会出现指代不清吧?(反正我是这么做出C的,结果GWD给的答案是A......)

    笔记上说cool，provided，milked三者并列做keep的宾语的补足语，for the farmers中的for为介词表原因。
    给出的正确语序Provided with high-energy feed, and miked regularly, Holstein cows will produce an average of 2,275 gallons of mild each per year for the farmer who takes care to keep them cool。

    我自己感觉红字部分和句子highlighten部分有歧义。
    这个地方怎么理解？

    这里不是虚拟语气，虚拟语气是主句的动词得用would+verb形式，这里是will。
    贴一个RON的解释吧，大概意思是说：
    provided和milked修饰H cows
    1/ will produce表示provided和milked这两个动作发生了，在一定滞后期之后，H cows才开始produce
    2/ 如果用produce，也是可以的，表示will produce表示provided和milked这两个动作发生了，H cows就开始produce

    同时，在形式上也不是条件语气，但如果放在汉语语境里，加上一个“如果……就……”的关联词会比较好理解。

    provided和milked的成分，他们在功能上修饰H cows，含义上是“牛被提供，牛被挤奶”，在汉语中没有这种说法，所以在它的意思是“农夫给牛提供，农夫给牛挤奶”。放在整个句子里，就是“对于农夫来说，如果给牛提供XXX，给牛挤奶，H牛每年就会产XXX”，但喜欢用“如果……就……”仅仅是汉语的习惯（在理解和翻译的时候我们常常这么做），这里并没有表现出这种条件语气！

    这样以来，for的用处就很明显了，就是“对什么什么而言”，作状语。

    A的语意侧重于在说：这个date是当大家知道人类制造过stone tools的date 。 但正确的语意应该是：这个date是人类已经制造过stone tools的时期。 一个强调的是人们做这件事被知晓的时间，一个是直接强调了做这件事的时间

    有没有人可以回答一下，turn away from....to...中的to 不是介词吗，为什么后面都跟动词原形。。。
    这是个什么结构呀
