标题: og12-42 -ed和-ing到底有几个区别...?

largest and oldest living organism on Earth, a giant
fungus that is an interwoven filigree of mushrooms and
rootlike tentacles spawned by a single fertilized spore
some 10,000 years ago and extending for more than
30 acres in the soil of a Michigan forest.

(A) extending
(B) extends
(C) extended
(D) it extended
(E) is extending

og给的解释说spawned的动作已经结束,所以用-ed,extend的动作延续至今,所以用-ing
所以-ed和-ing到底有哪几个区别呢?
主被动 和 时态 ?
觉得这题用主被动考虑也完全说得通啊

因为句子指出fungus还living着，所以应该用进行时表示。
我也是想了很久才想明白的，呵呵……

这个并列更多的是看意思吧 fungus被发现了还是活的呢 所以用ING 个人是这么理解的...

分词做定语:现在分词（主动进行），过去分词（被动完成）

我同意这个看法，而不是OG上的时态的说法

我也同意这种理解, spawned, vt,. 后面的by就是一个被动的标志啊, 后面的extending表主动, 都用来修饰tentacles..OG怎麽搞的..
