第一题 A 缺乏引导后面从句的连词 that
第二题 首先while用错了，while表示前后的对比，而该句前后并无对比。(largest表示规模最大，并不跟后面的商业化运作的成功与否，人工的高低构成对比)。 动词的使用方式 pay sb 没有错。 所谓的"不是说有PAYMENT就不能选PAYING吗"，是指在做名词性成分的时候，用pay的同源名词payment优于动名词形式的paying。作者: zhaoyiqing 时间: 2009-11-21 14:15

第一题分析：此处BS是主动发出conducted operations，而非被动，即使要用，也应当用conducting来表明主动。所以，不可以把conducted理解成修饰语，而应该是谓语动词的过去时态，这样的话，句子就会有双重谓语，第一重是conducted，第二重是have greatly downsized or shut down。这样是不对的，应该是把含有conducted的那堆弄成同位语搞修饰。这样就只能选B了。 A中的问题与E相同，都是有两套谓语，错误。With后面加名词性结构的东西，不能加句子。C错误。 While既有“当......的时候”又有“但是”表对比的意思，属于歧义的词，一般不出现在GAMT SC的正确句子里。
